Senate President Discusses Cooperation With UAE Ambassador

On Monday, the Senate President, Faisal Fayez, discussed bilateral relations and the current situation in the Middle East and North Africa region with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ambassador to Jordan, Ahmed Ali Al Balushi.

Fayez voiced pride in the “high-level brotherly ties” in various fields, noting that the relations are based on mutual respect and ongoing cooperation and coordination.

He stressed Jordan’s solidarity with the UAE against any attacks threatening its security and stability, as the Kingdom considers the safety and stability of the UAE and the Arab Gulf countries a part of its national security.

Fayez commended the UAE’s support for Jordan under the current circumstances to enable it to overcome difficulties, indicating the need to increase Emirati investments in the Kingdom and to build a strategic political and economic partnership to address threats and challenges and boost common interests.

The Emirati Ambassador lauded the distinguished ties between the two countries, noting that they are “historical relations” based on mutual respect, cooperation and coordination.

“Economic relations between the two countries are continuously flourishing”, he said, adding that the UAE’s trade exchange with the Kingdom is among the largest, and there are several projects and investments in Jordan worth more than USD17 billion.
